Mary Caswell

Officer Mary Caswell works as the Church's security officer, Monday - Friday during business hours. She is so excited to see that this beautiful church is once again open to the public, and that she gets to be part of it. She is a mother of 7 children, ranging from 11 years old to 23 years old. She loves art, music, and nature and is also an NRA instructor for both, "Refuse to be a victim" and basic pistol instruction. She was primarily a preschool - early elementary teacher for 13 years, and has taught all ages, including infants (baby sign language), high school (biology and algebra), and adults (situational awareness).

In 2017, she decided to do what she had always wanted to do and that was to take steps towards becoming a police officer. She received her ACT235 certification which allowed her to be an armed guard. She was later hired by the city of Pittsburgh bureau of Police and received her Act120 as a sworn officer. As a single mother, she needed stability for her children and a regular schedule, at which time she left the city and went back to private security and investigation. Although this was not exactly what she was looking for, she believes that God has a mysterious way of working. She recently started looking for yet another job, hoping to find what she was looking for, and was hired by St. Moritz Security, just as First Presbyterian started working with them. Some people call it "Luck" she calls it Divine Providence.
