Adults

What used to be called Christian Education is now Faith Development. We realized there’s a difference between information (education) and transformation (faith development). We believe that by being grounded in God’s word you are equipped for living out your faith in all you do. Think of it this way – we need to be fed spiritual food so that we can be effective in sharing God’s love with everyone we come in contact with on a daily basis. That’s letting God’s word transform all that you are and do. God radically changes us and that’s an amazing thing!

Growing in faith is a journey, really. Whenever you begin, either as a young child or an adult, you never finish being perfected in your faith. We want to provide opportunities that allow God to transform the faith community of First Presbyterian Church and Pittsburgh. All are welcome!

If you are not engaged in Bible study, now is the time. We benefit from studying with others. We can study God’s word on our own, but it’s amazing to hear the insights and life experiences of others. By learning together we are able to encourage each other or wrestle with a faith question. We learn that no one has all the right answers.

It’s never too late to begin the lifelong process!
