Welcome! At First Presbyterian Church of Pittsburgh
We proclaim boldly the Word of Jesus Christ who is the Living Word.
We praise boldly with traditional worship amid the startling beauty of a century-old sanctuary, priceless stained glass, and the glorious sounds of a magnificent pipe organ.
We pray boldly, seeking God’s heart, knowing that the center of His will is at once the safest, and yet the most dangerous and exciting place to be.
We risk boldly daring to make a difference difference in our city and the world.
We move boldly into our third century to see what God will do in our next 236 years.

Who We Are
First Presbyterian Church of Pittsburgh has been reaching out from the heart of this city into the hearts of this city for 236 years. There is a great heritage here. In its long history, our buildings have changed (four times), as have our senior pastors (only 15 of them). But over the past 236 years, the faithfulness of First Church has not changed. Today, we retain our historical, Bible-centered evangelical presence in Downtown Pittsburgh, lifting up Christ and building up people. Our members come from all areas of metropolitan Pittsburgh.
Tuesday Noon Boost
The Tuesday Noon Boost Service provides a 25-minute, mid-week spiritual boost to Downtown workers and others, every Tuesday, September through May, at 12:25 p.m. Visit Tuesday Noon Boost
